The Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety, health, and security programs within the organization. Responsible for creating and maintaining a secure and compliant work environment, the manager ensures the well-being of employees, protection of assets, and adherence to regulatory standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
A. EHS Supervisor
- Deep understanding of EHS information and programs particularly on laws & regulations (minimum and penalty- bearing requirements), bench-marking studies and industry best practices to develop and implement strategies to achieve goals and objectives.
- Assist in developing and improvement of Physical Security and EHS manual, procedures and processes.
- Conduct risk assessment of assigned cluster identifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation plans.
- Provide expert assistance in crisis/ emergency events impacting the site.
- Conducts education sessions in relation to and EHS.
- Monitor compliance for EHS related mandatory requirements and compliance to standards.
- Supports in government and client audits.
B. Security Supervisor
- Provide the initial orientation and field training to new Security Guards.
Plan and schedule duty of Security Guards on a monthly basis and timely dissemination to all concerns. - Supervise and coordinate activities of Security Guards; monitor their activities to ensure compliance with the standard operating procedures (e.g. wearing of PPE).
- Review the existing operations; develop and make recommendations to improve practices and procedures on traffic, towing activities and security procedures.
- Disseminate changes in policies, standards and regulations Security.
- Supervise all tasks associated with traffic management and security for all incidents and special events. Ensure compliance with the Key Performance Indicator (KPI's).
- Collate all incident reports provided by the Security Guards; Analyze and provide recommendation to the EHSS Officer and Operations Adviser.
- Provide weekly report to the EHSS Officer and Operations Adviser covering all the incidents, activities, and observation relating to security.
- Monitors and evaluates the quality, responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness of Security Guards.
- Monitors and evaluates the quality / level of security and safety practices within the premises.
- Regularly conduct on-site inspection and monitor traffic behavior and/or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times.
- Whenever applicable, perform the routine briefing and de-briefing of Security Guards on every shift.
- Assist the EHSS Officer in crafting/preparations of operating procedure, manuals and other documentation works
- Performs other duties that maybe required from time to time
- A bachelor's degree in an environmental science-related field, such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
Relevant work experience in environmental management, occupational safety and health, and security management for at least 2 years.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role.
Comprehensive understanding of environmental laws and regulations, especially those related to pollution control and waste management.
Familiarity with industry-specific processes and their potential environmental impacts.
Familiarity with industry-specific processes and their potential environmental impacts within the LLDA jurisdiction.
Comprehensive understanding of Philippine occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
Proficient in security operations within the Philippines, including knowledge of local laws, regulations, and security protocols.
Certifications:
- Completion of 48 Hours DOLE prescribed training course for BOSH/COSH.
- Possession of relevant certifications may be advantageous. Certifications could include Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or other industry-specific certifications.
- Completion of the LLDA and DENR accredited Pollution Control Officer Training Course or other training programs recognized by LLDA and DENR-EMB.
